We can turn your broken or out-of-date jewelry into something new in no time at all. With over 2000 wax molds to choose from, let us help you design the jewelry of your dreams.
Appraisals:
Your professional jewelry appraisals will include the following:
- A detailed description of the item(s)
- Metal content determination
- Gemstone identification, grading, measurement, and weight calculation/estimation
- Fully researched valuation at the appropriate market level
- Identification of designer/manufacturer, when possible
- Complete professional cleaning and inspection of mounting
- An explanation of value, along with the intent (appropriate use) of the appraisal document
Certified Watch Repair:
We can change batteries and watch bands and adjust link bands in our store. Any extensive watch repair will be sent to our certified watch repairman. A verbal estimate will be given before the repair is left and an official price quote will be available in 2-3 days. The turnaround on watch repair is 7-14 working days.
Lifetime Warranty:
Curtis Jewelry offers a jewelry warranty that is second to none. We also can take care of all your jewelry repairs, from the minor repair to extensive custom jewelry designs. The following briefly explains our jewelry and repair warranty policy.
JEWELRY WARRANTY ON NEW PURCHASES
Curtis Jewelry provides a lifetime warranty on all your jewelry purchased in our store. This lifetime warranty covers all manufacturers defects in material or workmanship but it does not cover neglect or abuse. Therefore, the periodic inspection of your jewelry purchase is the best way to safeguard against any potential problems. Curtis Jewelry gladly provides free inspections of all your jewelry purchases. Regular upkeep of your jewelry is required to maintain your warranty. This includes paying for any normal repairs required due to wear, damage, or abuse. To have your jewelry cleaned and inspected, free of charge, simply bring your items to our store location in Downtown Durant to have them checked while you wait.
WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS AND EXCLUSIONS:
The Curtis Jewelry Lifetime Warranty does NOT cover the following items:
- Any damage to your jewelry purchase due to negligence or abuse. (For Example: If a stone is lost due to bent, damaged, or worn out prongs, Curtis Jewelry is not responsible for the replacement of the stone or the retipping of the prongs. The jewelry was neglected and abused and therefore the warranty becomes void.)
- If another jeweler performs any repair work on an item purchased from Curtis Jewelry, Curtis Jewelry will not be held responsible for any loss or defect and the lifetime warranty becomes null and void.
- The loss of the center stone, such as a diamond is not covered under the Curtis Jewelry lifetime warranty. Such a loss will be covered under your Home Owners Insurance policy. Please note that a separate insurance rider may be required to fully cover all of your fine jewelry pieces. Please contact your insurance company for more information regarding your insurance policy limits and requirements. There are several insurance companies that specialize in protecting your jewelry assets. Curtis Jewelry recommends Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company. Your new purchase is covered by Curtis Jewelry’s Lifetime Warranty Plan. To keep your warranty in effect, your jewelry needs to be cleaned and checked every four months by one of Curtis Jewelry’s friendly staff. You must bring in your item and Lifetime Warranty Plan card in to our store every four months to have your item cleaned and checked and to have your card signed for your protection. Excessive abuse or work being done by any other jeweler than Curtis Jewelry will void your warranty decided solely by Curtis Jewelry. All maintenance expense is the customer’s responsibility.
WARRANTY ON REPAIRS PERFORMED BY CURTIS JEWELRY
At Curtis Jewelry, we can take care of all your jewelry needs, from simple repairs to custom design. Surprisingly enough, most of your treasured jewelry pieces can be made to look the way they did the day they were originally purchased. Precious metals can be refinished and polished to their original luster, most gemstones can be re-cut or re-polished to their original brilliance, as well as secured by needed prong work or head replacement. Not only will you enjoy their newfound beauty, you’ll once again feel confident in everyday wear. Curtis Jewelry offers a wide array of repairs such as: stone setting, prong work, fabrication, pearl restringing, clasp replacement, and appraisals, all at competitive prices. Our custom designers will work with you to create that special piece of jewelry you’ve always wanted, as well as redesign one you no longer enjoy. Please allow a minimum of five business days for all repair work to be completed. If you prefer to have your jewelry item repaired quicker than this, a rush charge will be added to your repair order. This additional fee depends on the difficulty and complexity of the repair work being performed. All costs involved with any repairs done by Curtis Jewelry will be discussed up front and approved by the customer prior to the start of the repair job.
All repair and/or custom work performed at Curtis Jewelry comes with a full ONE YEAR limited warranty if the item was originally purchased from Curtis Jewelry. Please see below for limitations, exclusions, and exceptions.
REPAIR WARRANTY LIMITATIONS, EXCEPTIONS AND EXCLUSIONS:
- The warranty on repair work we perform on jewelry purchased elsewhere will be limited exclusively to the work done. (For example: If we repair a broken prong on a ring you purchased elsewhere, then our one year repair warranty will be limited to that single prong, not the whole ring or the other prongs that we did not replace and/or repair.)
- The one-year repair warranty will not cover any jewelry repair if the piece of jewelry or item that was repaired is damaged or broken due to negligence or abuse.
- If another jeweler performs additional repair work on the same piece or item we repaired, the one-year repair warranty will become null and void.
- Curtis Jewelry is not responsible for the damage, breaking, or chipping of any stones that are chipped, cracked, or badly flawed when received. A repair consultant will make sure to point these potential problems out before we begin any repair work on your jewelry item.
